Di cosa parla Automan?

Un ufficiale di polizia e programmatore, Walter Nebicher, crea Automan: un programma di lotta al crimine artificialmente intelligente che genera un ologramma in grado di lasciare il mondo del computer di notte e combattere il crimine. Mentre si trova nel mondo reale, Automan si spaccia per un agente governativo di nome "Otto J. Mann". Nebicher può fondersi con Automan e diventare un unico essere, condividendo coscienza e abilità, pur mantenendo l'invulnerabilità di Automan. Ad aiutarlo nelle operazioni c'è Cursore, un poliedro fluttuante e mutevole che può "disegnare" e generare oggetti fisici a seconda delle necessità. Le forme più comuni assunte sono un'automobile (Autocar), un aeroplano e un elicottero, tutti in grado di sfidare le leggi della fisica.
